I’ve been using the gymba primarily at my standing desk for 2 weeks. So far it does everything it says it does. It’s a gentle movement but I can still feel it in my leg muscles, especially near the foot. It helps my legs and feet feel ready for movement.

I have some sort of restless leg syndrome or something at night and before bed I usually have to stretch my legs a LOT or I can’t sleep because they’re uncomfortably tight. Since getting the gym and using it for most of the day, I only have to stretch a little bit now (and I attribute this mostly to sitting in the evenings after work).

That’s another thing, I can stand a lot longer using it because of the movement and I don’t get stiff or anything.

All in all it’s been amazing, no complaints.

First, let’s talk about the idea of the Gymba. I think the thing that won me over was the way that it flexes when you apply pressure to your calves, as if you are walking. No other standing desk balance board could do that. As an avid walker, I recognize that exercise using your calves helps to pump blood back up your legs, preventing swelling in your ankles ankles, didn’t want to get a mini stair walker or any other equipment. I wanted to try to get something that encompass balance, stepping, and simple body stretches. The issue with the Gymba is its construction. While most balance boards are made of plastic, some are made of wood typically the ones made of wood are inflexible, and therefore did not meet my criteria. All others made of plastic were attempting to mimic the ones made of wood and so did not attempt to use the flexibility of the plastic to enhance the product, this is what made the idea of the gym so great. I ordered my Gymba on March 18. I received my Gymba on March 25. I am writing this review on April first. I have used the gym for six days and it is already showing signs of wearing. The carpet is fraying at the edges and the little massage balls that come attached will not stay attached any longer. If this is the result after six days of use,I don’t think it will last for very much longer after that. The description says it can handle up to 500 pounds, I can assure you I am nowhere near that weight. I believe this product is built to handle only people who are 100 to 150 pounds and weight at max. If I were able to try it before committing, I’m pretty sure I would not have purchased it. Seeing how their return policy is nonexistent, which is a extremely bad business move in today’s world. With the Gymba costing $150 and already showing signs of wear after six days of use with no return policy in a world where word-of-mouth via social media is de facto. I don’t think this is going to be very successful long time. If I had to do it all over again, I would not.
